LE PETITE BALEEN

TI Builders transformed a multi-tenant building into a purpose-built swim school for La Petite Baleen, creating a welcoming environment designed to support swim instruction, water safety, and child development. Founded in 1979 in the backyard pool of John Kolbisen and Irene Madrid’s Half Moon Bay home, La Petite Baleen developed its unique AQUATIC CLASSROOM program to teach swimming while building children’s self-esteem and coping skills.
The renovation included exterior upgrades, new storefronts and access doors, and a complete interior demolition and rebuild. The redesigned space features a new pool, reception and office areas, changing rooms, restrooms, showers, a viewing room, breakroom, equipment rooms, and storage. TI Builders also installed new plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems to meet the facility’s specialized needs, delivering a functional space that supports La Petite Baleen’s distinctive approach to aquatic education.
